Bruce Mello was born in 1950 in Santa Clara, California and was formally educated there in the public schools and at San Jose City College. He has made a living from performing music, teaching guitar and working at various jobs such as schoolbus driver, teacher, house painter, pastor, factory worker, motel night auditor, and driver of disabled adults. He has published several chapbooks of his poetry, the latest being "Cultivating My Eccentricities" and has recorded three albums of original music . He lives with his wife in Nulvi, Sardegna, Italy. He is currently working on his first novel.
